In 2007, The National Greenhouse & Energy Reporting (NGER) Act came into play which introduced a national framework for the reporting & dissemination of information about the greenhouse gas emissions, greenhouse gas projects, energy use & production of corporations.
Corporations that meet the NGER threshold must report their:
• greenhouse gas emissions
• energy production
• energy consumption
• other information specified under NGER legislation
Do you or does a member of your corporate group have operational control of a facility that emits 25 KT or more of greenhouse gases (CO2 equivalent), or produces or consumes 100 TJ or more of energy.
Your corporate group emits 125 KT or more of greenhouse gases (CO2 equivalent), or produces or consumes 500 TJ or more of energy.
